Magnet Investment Managers International (MIMI) sources investments in the public and private market with a special interest in special situations, real-estate related opportunities and distressed debt. The company also started to research and invest in digital assets in 2016. Investment capital is provided by the company and its partners, as well as sourced from institutional investors on a project-specific basis. MIMI is also selectively engaged in general corporate finance advisory for investments evaluation and structuring.
The firm has been established in Hong Kong since 2002 managing these investment strategies. Current investments include residential, commercial and industrial real estate, land held for development, distressed debt and digital assets.
Joined Jardine Fleming/JPMorgan in Hong Kong in 1994 to develop an Asian fixed income activity. He left the firm in 2001 as a Director of the group which had become a recognized leader in non-rated Asian debt trading with a focus on illiquid and distressed credits. Prior to joining Jardine Fleming, he worked from 1986 to 1990 with Drexel Burnham Lambert in New York and Los Angeles, last as a Vice President in the High Yield Bond Department and from 1990 to 1993 in Mergers and Acquisitions with Drueker & Co. in Frankfurt. He holds an MBA from INSEAD in France and a Masters of Science from MIT in the USA.
